Rootbeer Taste Test #2

So for Christmas my little brother bought my dad some different sodas. One was a root beer made with pure sugar cane Boylan. So we decided to have another Root Beer taste test. The root beers we had were Boylan, Mug, Henry Weinhard, Stewart's, and Rat Bastard. My mom poured all the root beers into tiny Dixie cups and we labeled them A-E. It was fun doing a blind taste test. Not only did we have to rate them 1-5, five being our favorite we also had to try and put the label to the soda. The results are as follows:
Boylan with 12 Points
Rat Bastard with 14 Points
Mug with 20 Points
Stewart's with 21 Points
and the winner..

Henry Weinhard with 24 Points.

As we were drinking them many said I hope I don't pick Mug as my favorite 2 out of 5 did. 2 out of 5 also picked Stewart's, and only one picked Rat Bastard. Henry Weinhard ranked high in every ones but was no ones absolute favorite. It was a fun little adventure. The last root beer taste we had can be found here: http://www.facebook.com/bringhurst?v=info&ref=ts#/note.php?note_id=87866779931

Enjoy!

Friends

I went to my cousin's apartment and made cookies at her house with Megan. We also had birthday cake for Heidi's birthday it was a ton of fun! I miss them. Well seeing as we'll all see each other when school starts again I will just miss them till the second week of January!

Treats I've recently made

I made a cheese ball. Super easy and very good. It is just cream cheese, dry ranch mix, green onions, and you can put nuts on the outside or cheese. I put cheese some people i work with don't love nuts.

I made red pepper humus. Oh boy it was super easy and i enjoyed eating it. All it has is chickpeas, bottled roasted red peppers, and some lemon juice. Delicious!

These are Costa Rican cookies. They are good because they aren't super sweet. They had a bit of a different flavor but it was a good different.

Logan Temple

One Beautiful day before the snow came to stay I went to the Logan Temple to take some pictures. Its nice to be alone and just look at pretty stuff. Logan is beautiful when the snow comes its also nice but a little less enjoyable for me. Oh well what are you going to do...

Sorry my life is boring...

So when I first moved up to Logan I kept thinking to myself wow I can do this. I was missing out on all the 100 degree weather and wearing jackets at night. I loved the 80-90 degree summer weather. I could do everything I wanted and still not be dying of heat. Oh the heat I did not miss that... until now. This is the Logan I moved to.

This is the Logan I live in now and soonish. Last night I went to bed and outside it was a cool 1 degree outside. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! 1 degree!! It hasn't gotten above 30 in the last few days and a few in the future. We are expecting snow now and it will never go away. Never!!! Oh man what have I gotten myself into? I miss the heat! Oh how I miss the heat!! I am unable to really warm myself so I must turn to outside factors for help. Coats, hot cider/chocolate, soup, things I never really enjoyed but have now become my best friend. This is the Logan of my present and future. Oh please let me survive.

Halloween

Random Night of Vandalism. We basically drew on whatever called our name. We just ran around and had fun. It was way cold and we all had to dress in black in order to stay hidden in the shadows. I think we did a smashing job...

Hockey. USU games. Quite fun and very Canadian Like.

I Love My Family!

Spending time with my Niece and Nephews are some of my favorite times. I love watching them and playing with them. They are all so cute.
Jackson and Erika Kate With me at Bear World. I kept telling Jackson that they were my children and he would always disagree.

Teaching Jackson how to roll down the hill at the Idaho Falls Temple. Needless to say he wasn't the best but he was learning. I on the other hand was awesome at it!

My Nephew Clark enjoying the wonderful world of Canada. He is always super happy!

Talking to Johanna and Clark after I got my feet out of the freezing cold water! It was insane how cold that glacier water was!

I love going on trips with my mom. We most recently went to Canada with her and my family but my favorite was Ireland where it was just her and I. It was tons of fun.

The last family pictures we had with my Grams in them. I love that Lady! I also love my family!

Trips with my brother are always exciting. I loved going to Disneyland with him and his friend DJ for my birthday this year. It was so much fun. I was always laughing those two are quite hilarious! I Love Disneyland!

Many Firsts...

The first Duck Crossing Sign I think I've ever seen. Like you wouldn't be able to see the ducks on the road without a sign. Its located in Idaho Falls.

First Time at Bear World where the bears are like right outside the car. Don't roll down your windows, do you really think they need to tell people this over and over? But sure enough the car in front of ours would always be leaning out of the window to take pictures. They are wild animals for pity sake! Get back in your car!

First Fireworks in Logan, for the Pioneer Day Celebration. I was out of the country for the Independence Day Fireworks.

First Time I've ever had a Slurpee from 7-11. I know what you're thinking, "you're 22 and have never had a Slurpee from 7-11?" Well we don't have them in St. George so I just never had one. But I made sure I was able to enjoy it!

First Time I've ever been certified in Scuba! That's right this is right before I did my last two dives to become certified. I'm smiling because I was able to get the suit on and not fall over!

First Time I went to the Western Heritage Place in Logan! I was in a Teepee. I can't really remember spending time in one of those either so we'll call that another first!

First time someone has tried to do me in with a bow and arrow. I mean there have been times when people have tried to do me in but never with a bow and arrow.

Tony Grove First time I've ever been there. Its up in Logan Canyon very pretty. I highly recommend it. Its beautiful!

My tour guides Tessa and Ryan.

I've never been to Bear Lake! Can you believe it! But I made sure that I went because it would be a first for my life! I also had a raspberry shake up there because apparently that's what you do when you go to Bear Lake.
